It would offer the viewer more stories from where they live and allow the news to be presented from multiple locations in an ITV region by utilising new technology to run regional newsrooms throughout the country.rnIt would also widen the base of television news provision in the UK. Instead of a small number of professionals who move between the established players, the new providers would open up the industry to new ideas and techniques that don't come with the well-worn imprint of ITV and the BBC.
