TIA Urges USTR, Commerce To Press China on Reforms

The Telecommunications Industry Association has asked the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and the Commerce Department to press China on several issues that it says are hampering its members' efforts to compete in Chinese information and communications technology (ICT) markets, including restrictions on the provision of voice-over-Internet-protocol (VoIP) and online video services.rnIn a June 12 letter, TIA suggested six "priority issues" for consideration as USTR and Commerce prepare for an upcoming meeting of the U.S.-China Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade (JCCT).
