THE IMPORTANCE OF REDESIGN

In today's world we rush from one topic to another to try to complete what seems to be a never-ending curriculum. Hopefully, we finish a project or activity that culminates in authentic student learning and then quickly move on to another topic. Instead of quickly moving on, I would propose we "hang on" a little longer and allow the students more time to redesign and rethink their "completed projects." Redesigning and refining our ideas would improve our end results. Students gain so much more knowledge and understanding when they take time to redesign.
