Its approach is not as specialized as that of many technical writing texts today, and that is one of its strengths. It definitely can be used as a classroom text or resource for practicing writers. Its two-part approach works well, with the basic tools in Part 1 providing the foundation for practicing forms of technical communication in Part 2.
