There are several methods to adjusting and calibrating terminal boxes, series fan powered being the most difficult. Improper adjustment leads to return air space air mixing with primary conditioned air in the maximum cooling mode or primary conditioned air being rejected into the return air space. Both results cause discomfort and higher energy usage.rnIf it is not possible to traverse the primary air duct in order to calibrate the velocity controller. A combination of fan adjustments and primary air calibration is needed.
