Pride in our personnel

For Army daughter Lucy McLane there is a common theme to life in the military community. "An average family will move eight times in their lifetime," she explained. "But at the age of 22 I have already lived in 16 houses." At the AFF we have been capturing the experiences of our Service families and alongside the familiar challenges there is one prevailing thread - that is the immense pride that loved ones have in their soldier. Indeed, Lucy added: "With my father's 38 years of service I could not be prouder of him." As a former Servicewoman I have been lucky to enjoy both interesting and occasionally lucrative jobs since leaving the Army but I don't think my civilian career could ever match soldiering when it comes to pride.
