DFDs see profits dip

Even after a 27 per cent dip in profits during 2012, DFDS remain positive about results for the current year, despite conditions that chief executive Niels Smedegaard likens to sailing into a head wind, DFDS saw profits down to DKK1,093 million in 2012 after record returns in 2011 Profit before tax and special items amounted to DKK 276 million, compared with DKK 651 million in 2011, although revenue increased.
