The order was placed by Norwegian shipyard Hellesoy Verft and covers the supply of ship design and equipment for the vessel. The PSV, based on the VS 485 design, represents the yard's first order for the new Mk III design. Arne Stenersen, managing director, Wartsila Ship Design Norway AS, says that the remit for Wartsila Ship Design was to create "a new benchmark for energy efficient PSVs, [with] safe operation, modern design with highest comfort, a large PSV with 1000m2 deck area [that is] compact and [has] flexible under-deck cargo capacities."
