LR reorganises to better tackle decarbonisation

Lloyd's Register has made important changes to the organisation and leadership of its maritime business following the promotion of Nick Brown, former head of the Marine and Offshore Division to replace retiring Alastair Marshas ceo. Mark Darley has taken over as director of Marine & Offshore, tasked with managing and expanding LR's classification, certification and verification services in line with what LR calls 'changing market expectations.'At the same time a new unit called Maritime Performance Services has been created, with Andy McKeran appointed director to lead LR's maritime professional services, fleet management and fleet optimisation.'LR recognises that maritime stakeholders must rise to the demands of changing technology and the drive to decarbonise our industry,' commented ceo Brown.
