Aiming for early expansion, Japan charts steady progress in R&D.rnA fuel cell is a device in which the chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen is directly converted into electrical energy. Conversion efficiency is high compared to generating power by gas turbines or other means, and since there are no harmful emissions such as nitrogen oxide or sulfides, the technology attention as a green energy. A compact and efficient technology with little noise or vibration, it is mainly used in portable devices such as notebook PCs or mobile phones and in fuel cell vehicles.
