PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel storage gel for a fuel cell enhanced in versatility by expanding the range for selecting material usable for gelatinization; and to provide a fuel storage gel for a fuel cell capable of balancing fuel storage power with high fuel extraction efficiency, excelling in handleability and safety, and capable of enhancing fuel extraction yield. PSOLUTION: This fuel storage gel is used for making gelation ions coexist in a composition containing a fuel gelatinization resin formed of a polymer electrolyte and a methanol fuel to enhance the dissociation degree of the polymer electrolyte to swell and gelatinize the composition. The fuel storage gel for a fuel cell can release a methanol fuel by contracting the fuel gelatinization resin by reducing the dissociation degree of the polymer electrolyte by action of reliquefying ions generated by adding a reliquefying ion generation agent in a gelatinized substance.
