Iloved the Fairlawn Hotel from the first moment I saw it over twenty years ago and have stayed there countless times ever since. In fact it was reading an article about the Fairlawn that made me travel to Calcutta in the first place. It sounded like just the kind of quirky eccentric Hotel I enjoy and turned out to be exactly that.
