MAKLAB: DIGITAL FABRICATION FOR EVERYONE

Bruce Newlands FRSA is working with the Lighthouse in Glasgow (Scotland's Centre for Architecture, Design and the City) and the RSA's Skills Bank to connect with local schools and businesses that lack access to digital manufacturing technology. The initiative will enable students, designers, engineers and members of the public to experiment with digital fabrication, which involves translating digital designs into physical objects using equipment such as 3D printers.
