One of the Internet's inherent benefits for e-commerce is its global reach. It provides U.S. vendors a great opportunity to sell products and services to customers worldwide whom they may not have considered before. In the current economic slowdown at home, it would seem these merchants would make "globalization of the Internet" a key mantra. However, in terms of global e-commerce, U.S. companies largely are still at the bottom of the hill looking up, though signs of change are appearing.
