BITS SETS VOLUNTARY GUIDELINES TO ASSURE PRIVACY FOR CUSTOMERS OF AGGREGATION SERVICES

To address online privacy fears of consumers starting to choose aggregation services in their personal financial management, BITS, the technology group for The Financial Services Roundtable, has adopted voluntary guidelines for aggregation services. Months in the making, with input from 200 individuals in 80 organizations, the guidelines stem from preliminary work done by First Union Corp., one of the first financial services providers in the aggregation space, according to Catherine Allen, BITS chief executive officer.
