Deltic back on two engines

Deltic 55022 Royal Scots Grey is now back running on two engines after unit 418 was removed from D9016 Gordon Highlander and fitted to the loco. The engine had been taken to the Beaver Sports' premises in Huddersfield for thorough inspection, a full repaint, fitting of overhauled fuel pumps and injectors, new hoses, new lagging and new jubilee clips, prior to fitting to 55022.rnA light overhaul to the main generator has also been undertaken and the engine fitted to 55022 on April 6. After attaching all necessary pipework and electronics, plus a few rectification jobs, the engine was started on April 8 and a loaded test run completed on April 11 using 37109,rn37901 Mirrlees Pioneer and 40145 as a dead weight load.
