DBS looks to ditch its 37s

DB Schenker is in talks with DRS to hire two Class 37s on a long-term arrangement to allow it to withdraw its last two locos -37401/425.rnDBS has a requirement for two 37s until 2012 at least but its own locos have been woefully unreliable and it is now felt it would be more cost effective to hire fromrnDRS rather than try to keep its own locos in traffic, which haven't been overhauled for 12 years. The deal is not likely to be for two specific locos by painted number.
