LNER 'A4' 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley has been removed from the roster for Steam Dreams' May 15-17 'Coronation' charter, following the discovery of a crack in the rear valve liner of the middle cylinder during routine winter maintenance.rnAs both the front and rear liners of the valve were already worn, the A4 Locomotive Society took the decision to have new ones manufactured and fitted, resulting in a longer period out of traffic. New liners were cast during March and sent to LNWR Crewe for machining; they were expected to be delivered to Grosmont as we closed for press.
