Woman dies after toilet fire

A woman has died after fire broke out in the toilet of a London Midland Class 350 EMU near Leighton Buzzard on April 11. Police said that the incident was not being treated as an accident and that it was thought that the woman, 43-year-old Rachel James of Uxbridge, had deliberately set fire to herself. Services on the West Coast Main Line were severely disrupted following the incident as the overhead power lines had to be isolated to enable the fire brigade to attend.
