DB to London from 2013

Eurostar's monopoly of the cross-Channel high-speed rail market looks set to come to an end in 2013, when German state operator Deutsche Bahn expects to launch regular services from London to Frankfurt and Amsterdam. The date was confirmed by DB Chairman Rudiger Grube on October 19, when he presented an 1CE3 trainset to invited guests at St Pancras International.rnGrube was joined for the announcement by Transport Minister Theresa Villiers, Germany's Federal Transport Minister Dr Peter Ramsauer, DB s Board Member for Passenger Services Ulrich Homburg and HS1 Ltd Managing Director Paul Chapman.
