TCC acquires first UK site in Milton Keynes

Trammell Crow Company (TCC), a CBRE subsidiary headed by European industrial and logistics stalwart Ian Worboys, has bought its first UK site, a former Arcadia distribution centre in Milton Keynes. It plans to develop three speculative logistics buildings of 212,309 sq ft, 70,816 sq ft and 51,420 sq ft on the 19.4-acre plot at Merton Drive, each to a BREEAM 'Excellent' standard. Construction is expected to start in Q2 2022 with completion scheduled for Q2 2023. "I am delighted that the first TCC European purchase is under our belt, demonstrating our firm's commitment to the European market," said Worboys (pictured), head of European logistics for TCC. "We are also in negotiations on sites in Spain, France and the Czech Republic and our German team opens for business on 1 September." CBRE represented TCC on the deal and DTRE represented the seller.
