摘要

Successful host defense against viral infection depends on efficient and proper recognition of an invading virus by a set of germline-encoded pattern-recognition receptors in the innate immune system. One such receptor in vertebrates is an RNA helicase, melanoma differentiation-associated gene 5 (MDA5).
