Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Co. asked NRC thisnmonth for an exemption that would allow it to use vacuumndrying enhancements at Haddam Neck before the agencyncompletes a rulemaking adding those enhancements to NACnInternational’s COC for the NAC-MPC storage system. NACnasked NRC to approve the amendment last month (NF, 18nAug., 11).
