US crude stock build expected amid refinery slowdown, export headwinds

US crude inventories likely resumed a seasonal build last week amidweaker refinery utilization and exports, an S&P Global Platts analysisshowed Tuesday.Commercial crude stocks are expected to have increased 3.3million barrels last week to 434.9 million barrels, analysts surveyed byPlatts said. The build would roughly erase a counter-seasonal drawreported by the US Energy Information Administration during the weekprior, but would still leave stocks around 3.7% behind the five-yearaverage of EIA data.
