Everyone knows that you cannot fire an employee because of his or her race, gender, national origin or age. But what about an employee who is always complaining about a supervisor being prejudiced or that a co-worker is making more money because of his race? With these employees, every counseling session or change in policy evolves into a discussion about the company's treatment of a particular race or gender. Dealing with these individuals can be difficult, since any action taken can be construed as retaliation against complaints of discriminatory practices.
