Amazon announced the general release of an enterprise search engine named Kendra (aws.amazon.com/kendra), which offers a free preview version. Kendra is focused on bringing machine learning, AI, and natural language to enterprise search. Bing is expanding options for webmasters to control how snippets appear for webpages in their domains. New metatag options include maximum snippet length, maximum image preview size, and maximum video preview length in seconds. Webmasters control the settings, and Bing will interpret them as directives. These changes will be seen in web and news results first, then later in images, videos, and answers.
