That we're in the world's worst financial crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930s is for most people in the UK (and around the world for that matter) evident by the impact that it has personally. Salaries and wages have been held back whilst, at the same time, the cost of essential commodities, not least food and fuel, have continued to rise. Little surprise then that most people feel under financial pressure.
