French Energy Minister Segolene Royal has warned EDF's board not to try and prevent the closure of France's oldest nuclear plant. EDF's board was due to meet in early April to discuss whether to comply with the French Government's plans for the Fessenheim plant near the German border. President Francois Hollande promised to close the plant in 2012, but the company has put off taking any action since then. Fessenheim's two 900-megawatt reactors each bring EDF about 200 million Eurps($213 million)in earnings.
