Learning along the way

At the North West regional dinner in May, guests heard from two excellent speakers - one a polar explorer, the other a senior nuclear regulator. The polar explorer, Ann Daniels, talked about the enormous challenges she had faced, how she had overcome them and how she had learned that, whilst achieving an end goal is important, so too are the things you learn along the way. Even if you don't manage to achieve the particular goal you were aiming for, there are lessons that will be vital for future expeditions.
