Necessary conditions are determined for recording the radiation of the electromagnetic pulses generated by the electric discharges on board of a space vehicle by the ground-based radars. The mean power-flow density of electric discharges at the Earth's surface is obtained as a function of the discharge power and the altitude of the space vehicle trajectory. The minimum power-flow density of electric discharges at the Earth's surface that can be recorded in the presence of the solar radiation is also found. The sensitivity of radar receivers that allows recording the radiation pulses generated by such electric discharges is estimated.
