摘要

In this paper, the authors analyzed the possibility of using a small-sized reverberant acoustic chamber to obtain the sound reduction provided by lightweight floor coverings. For this purpose, a small concrete chamber was built, with an internal volume of 2.73 m3, and its dynamic and acoustic behavior was evaluated. The performed characterization tests allowed the identification of the acoustic normal modes excited within the chamber, as well as the eigenmodes of the concrete slab used.
