Calva reaches critical stage

Engineers have completed a critical operation to salvage the southern central pier of the Work-ington "Calva" bridge and bring it one step closer to long term survival.rnThe final concrete pour to has been completed and last week contractors moved on to the bridge to begin stripping off the deck to further check the integrity of the structure.
