Dhere are only two requirements for joining one of this country's largest yet most-exclusive fraternities. You have to be in the U.S. armed forces, and you have to have shed blood while bearing arms against an enemy.rnThere are no dues, no special initiations or minimum rank requirements. You don't even have to do anything especially daring. All you have to do to join those with a Purple Heart is bleed badly enough to require medical attention. That alone, however, will put you in some pretty special company, many of whom died while earning entry to the group.
