A New Strategy

Any look at the shipbuilding industry in Canada must begin with the events that have led the industry to where it is today. I think it is safe to say that-with the exception of those who live on the coasts-Canadians take little notice or economic interest in the three oceans that surround our nation, or in the great river and fresh water lakes that bisect our two nations. Unlike the United States, we do not consider ourselves a seafaring nation; yet our history shows just the opposite.
