SRT is pitching the base Viper as the highest-performing car under $100,000, but at $99,390 to start, it's an optional paint color away from breaking that mark. And then there's the small issue of the gas guzzler tax, which pushes it to $101,990 out the door. So technically, it's only an under-$100,000 car before tax, but never mind that. Is it the best? The base SRT hit 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and ran the quarter mile in 11.5 seconds at 128.7 mph. On the skidpad, it pulled a 1.04g average, and on the figure eight, it put down a 23.4-second lap at 0.93 g (average). It topped off the performance with a stop from 60 mph in just 99 feet. An impressive performance all around, considering it was equipped with standard Pirelli P Zero tires instead of the optional, stickier Corsas.
