Many years ago I recall listening to test match special being broadcast out in Australia when England were being hammered. The commentator was interviewing Sir Don Bradman and asked the question, "Don, what do you reckon you would score against this England team"? Sir Don replied, "Well I don't know, probably 60, maybe a few more". The commentator replied, "Surely Don you would score more as your Ashes average is nearly 90 and this lot have no stomach for a fight". Sir Don retorted 'Yes I know mate, but heavens above I am nearly eighty five".
