I have finally achieved a major step in Cooper-kun's rebuild. I bought him in December 2008, from Dinky Incorporated, while working there at weekends. As always with any project, especially restoring or rebuilding a car, there are often unforeseen factors which result in delays. At long last he has a rebuilt engine. Thank you to Koji Sugiyama, at Owl Garage, for the loan of the engine crane. It made the installation easy and stress free. The removal of the engine still gives me nightmares as the engine bounced on the chain when the electric winch started and stopped. This engine crane uses compressed air or a manual handle to operate the hydraulic piston.
