AbitibiBowater Looks To Sell Idled Mills To American Iron & Metal

AbitibiBowater is asking for bankruptcy court approval to sell closed mills in Beaupre and Donnacona, Quebec; Dalhousie, New Brunswick; and Thunder Bay, Ontario to Montreal-based American Iron & Metal for $8.7 million, reported The Winnipeg Free Press. The newsprint company would also receive $100,000 from the Montreal company as part of a land swap with the Fort William First NationrnDevelopment Corp. for unused, vacant lands.
