Kingsland is Top of the Class

Kingsland School in Kingstanding has won the Top Marks Awards' - an initiative launched by Midlands Co-op Dairies to recognise schools that encourage pupils across the Midlands region to play an active role within their school and local communities. To take part in the Top Marks Awards, schools had to submit details of ways in which they are introducing school and community-based activities that link into their citizenship studies, supported by photographs, pupils' work and an evaluation of the beneficial effects the initiatives are having. The school received a cheque for ￡500 and a certificate, presented by Louise Wisdom, marketing manager for Midlands Co-op Dairies (pictured above).
