Cargill Acquires Carneco Foods Plant

Cargill Meat Solutions, Wichita, Kan., purchased a Columbus, Neb.-based beef processing plant and 80 acres of land from Carneco Foods LLC this past month. Carneco, a subsidiary of Lopez Foods Inc., Oklahoma City, processedrnground beer and case-ready beef products for food-service and retail customers at thernfacility.
