INNOVATION LEADS TO SAFER,FLEXIBLE HULLFORM

Will the Compact Semi Sub ves-sel design concept "change the way the offshore industry works?"rnMarine Asset Corporation (MAC) thinks so. It recently signed a contract with Fujian Mawei Shipyard in southeast China for the construction of a 500 man Compact Semi-Sub Accommodation Vessel, CSS Accomodator. The projected delivery for the vessel is December 2012.rnOn the heels of the order for the CSS Accommodator, Drydocks World Southeast Asia announced it had won a contract to build an 84m, 8,200 dwt oil well intervention vessel based on the CSS technology from Hallin Marine, Singapore. The cost of the vessel is expected to be about $110 million.
