FIRE PREVENTION BY DESIGN

摘要

Amendments to SOLAS Chapter II-2 and the International Fire Safety Systems (FSS) Code were agreed by the IMO's Sub-Committee on Fire Protection (FP) when it met for its 50th session in January of this year. While this work primarily focused on passenger ship safety, the guiding philosophy was that the regulatory framework should place more emphasis on the prevention of a casualty from occurring in the first place.
