The 40 years of MER have seen the diesel engine gain in market share until today it is the dominant force. One person who has been actively involved in this evolutionary process for most of the 40 years is Daniel Paro, Waertsilae's former Chief Designer. We recently discussed his experiences over those years and what changes have taken place in the diesel engine from his medium speed perspective.
