Every marine, coastal and offshore vessel or fixed installation depends on systems with rotating or moving parts, ranging from motors, fans and pumps, to turbines and turbochargers. Almost all of these are critical units, being used to provide power for propulsion, manoeuvring and onboard services, and for the many different tasks that require cargo, personnel and equipment to be moved, positioned or handled.
