Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu were aboard the first passenger service on Antalya's tramway extension to the site of Expo 2016 and the airport on 22 April. Test running started on 3 April, using a new five-section low-floor tram from the Eurotem joint venture of Hyundai Rotem and Tuevasas being supplied from its Adapazari factory in north-western Turkey.
