ebrary has rolled out the first stage of its public beta for its new Java-based Reader. The new ebrary Reader™, which will replace the company's current proprietary plug-in, is now available to new ebrary subscription customers on Windows and Linux platforms. All ebrary end-users will have access to the new ebrary Reader in the first quarter of 2008.
