On a sunny day in June, the euphonic notes of a grand piano were audible from the street Visible in the large, curving window at the front of his house, Warren Stone sat on his piano bench, engrossed in playing a concert piece. Making room for a music conservatory was a primary motivation for Warren and his wife Elaine to add on to the suburban home they'd owned for decades. Many couples in their shoes would be looking to downsize; their three children are all grown, and they have both recently retired, Warren as a rabbi and Elaine as a lawyer. But they wanted more space, not less, to indulge their passions-namely their family, which now includes two grandchildren, as well as art, music, spirituality, social activism, and nature.
