摘要

Perfluoroarenes constitute a distinct class of fluorinated compounds due to their importance in materials and life science. Usually, they can be prepared from perfluoroaryl metals, halides, or aldehydes. However, this "prefunctionalization" process has intrinsic drawbacks in terms of atom and step economy. Recently, the direct arylation, alkenylation and alkylation of perfluoroarenes were reported by Fagnou, Daugulis, and Nakao and Hiyama, respectively.
