Statistical techniques have been widely used in busi-rnness and industry for a very long time. This edited book is published by Wiley as part of a series called "Statistics in practice' which consists of practical books outlining the use of statistical techniques in areas spreading from biological sciences to industry, commerce and finance. This book covers a wide range of topics depicting the application of impor-: tant statistical practices, e.g. statistical process control in business and industry. However, it seems that topics have been chosen randomly by the editors and there is no interlinking between the chapters. The book consists of 15 chapters written by various authors. The book presents a broad view of the subjects and could be of interest to applied statisticians and researchers who are involved in business and industry.
