Integrated Mechanics for Fire and Safety

摘要

A novel course in fire safety engineering has been developed that attempts to integrate the very different perspectives that the architectural and engineering communities have traditionally brought to the subject. The course is broad-based and aims to integrate the various components of the subject to form a coherent whole. The focus of the course is on the underlying principles of the subject and their application to performance-based fire safety design. We hope that this process has resulted in a well-balanced course that will benefit both employers and future employees.
